The duty of the committee is to keep members informed through the club newsletter, the bulletin board, and personal visits to those who can't make meetings for reasons of illness or convalescence. Steve
Davis – Co-Chairperson We're a small group, but we love what we do and perform a very needed service. The
bulletin board is a very large job, as so many of our members are
highlighted in the press so often. Thankfully, Loyd is retired,
and has the time to go through our daily newspapers to find and
clip the articles about us. He also takes great pride in the layout,
freshness, and thoroughness of the board. Make sure you take a look
at it every week to keep yourself up to date on our club member's
efforts and rewards, and be sure to pass a kind word on to Loyd
for his efforts! |
Paul Batson is the member responsible for visiting any club member who can't attend meetings due to illness or convalescence. Paul truly enjoys spending time with those who have been separated from the rest of us and keeping them informed and connected. If you know of anyone who would like a visit from Paul, be sure to let him know either in person or through the email address set up for this purpose, fayronotify@hotmail.com. The club newsletter is truly a labor of love. It takes my about 15 hours a month to put this out, and I really rely on fellow members to supply me with stories, news, and events to keep it up.
