Did you volunteer at the Softball Tournament? A very triumphant (but tired) Carol Green made a glowing report and thanks you. E-mail Carol to tell her how much you appreciate her!

May 2: ROD Clay Edwards introduced Otto Loewer, who presented information about the Engineering program at the University of Arkansas. Dean Otto loquaciously informed the membership that this College exists to serve the public, rather than the other way around. The membership was impresssed to learn just how much revenue the engineers in our beasutiful state produce.

May 9: ROD Clay Edwards presented another UofA program, with another Rotarian as the speaker, Reed Greenwood. Dean Greenwood delivered a presentation about the College of Education, puncuated by a PowerPoint presentation. Members learned that there are many ways to support this important College through different giving plans: endowments, estate planning, or scholarships.

The meeting of May 16 will be on the UofA campus, Arkansas Union, 5th Floor Ballroom. This is a "classification" meeting, which will focus on the profession of development. We will have various professionals from the community describe their work (all will likely be Rotarians). ROD Clay Edwards informs us that parking is free in the lot just north of the Don W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium (affectionately known as "The Pit").

The May 23 meeting is a surprise.

The May 30 meeting will have these speakers: Dr. Joe Schrieber, Head of the Dept of Social Services, and Dr. Randall Woods, Dean of the Fulbright College.

June is Business and Industry Month. Our ROD is Wayne Britt.
