Our May 16 meeting was held at the UofA Student Union. As there was no flag present, the membership pledged allegiance to a sugar bag (with a picture of a flag on it).

May 16: ROD Clay Edwards introduced himself, presenting information about Classification and Development at the University of Arkansas. Bill Rogers then spoke of his efforts in Development for Washington Regional Medical Center. Both speakers emphasized just how many members in the room contribute their time, talent, or treasure to many beneficial groups in our state and nation.

May 23: President Chuck Culver led the membership in a game of Name That Rotary Tune for a rolicking good time. The winners were the Old But Mean group. Brought to our attention was Clark McClinton's almost Memorial Day birthday; Dr. Nettleship's gift to UAMS, for the Drs. Mae and Anderson Nettleship Endowed Chair in Oncologic Pathology; and John Threet's resemblance to Scooby Doo.

The May 30 meeting will have these speakers: Dr. Joe Schrieber, Head of the Dept. of Social Services, and Dr. Randall Woods, Dean of the Fulbright College.
