We say a fond farewell to club member Lloyd Calhoun, and the entire membership joins together in expressing condolences to his family, as well as to club member Bobby New on the passing of his wife, Jackie. We wish you peace.

 

Dec 12 : ROD Warren Murray continued Health Awareness Month by introducing Ernie Mass, RN, of Washington Regional Medical Center's Hospice program. We learned how important hospice is for the dying and their families. You can find out more and volunteer by calling 713-7385 or email Ernie.

Dec 19: ROD Warren Murray wrapped up Health Awareness Month by introducing Dr. Ted Fish, a local cardiologist, who spoke on the advances in cardiology and expanding our healthcare options. Dr. Fish informed us that death rates due to heart failures are falling, due to improved treatment. Find out more here.

December 26 - Day after Christmas ***No Meeting***

January 2: Tim deNoble will be telling us about his upcoming trip to Italy.

January 9: ROD Carol Green will be leading us in a rousing game of Dirty Santa.

January 16: ROD Carol Green brings us the International Culture Team from the University.

January 21: Joint meeting with Northside on TUESDAY to hear Chancellor White speak, OR you may want to join with several other area clubs at the Holiday Inn of Springdale to hear past Rotary International president Dick King speak.

January 30: EVENING meeting disguised as a social - the wonderful annual Mardi Gras party at Uncle Gaylord's.If you do not attend, you will be billed the normal lunch rate. If you do attend, you will be billed $15 per person. There will be a cash bar, and wonderful music!

Member John Tolleson gave the membership quite a treat by playing his original song, "What Can You Say About Christmas That Hasn't Already Been Said?" The same can be said about John...thank you for such a wonderful gift.
