Our
fantastic and fun annual softball tournament turned out to be a
great success and a lot of fun! A huge thanks to all who participated.
It reportedly gets easier every year, so make sure you get in on
next year's event!

special thank-you to the Jefferson Jaguar Recorders and the Jammin'
Jaguars Choir for their delightful musical presentation at the May
1 meeting. They are a very talented bunch!

our own Janine Wagnar, conductor of the NWA Symphony. The big news
is that the Symphony has become affiliated with the Walton Arts
Center, thereby slashing admin costs by 30 to 46% with the stroke

John Gentry introduced Dr. Don Bobbitt, Associate Dean of Research
and Science in the College of Arts and Sciences, who tried to put
Higher Education at the University in prospective, by explaning
the role and impact the University has on our community. He confirmed
that the University is very strong, and getting stronger.

Cleanup
Our
last Adopt a Highway Curb the Clutter Grab the Garbage and Grande
Treasure Hunt of this fiscal year will be on June 7. Meet at Root
Elementary at 8:13 a.m. with a smile, sun bonnet, shades, tick repellent,

Gentry brought us David Stahle, Professor of Geo Sciences, who gave
a passionate presentation on "Tree Ring Talk." Tree rings
can reconstruct environmental history via their chonology, which
is the most accurate and precise dating method! Who knew?
